BIGGIE SMALLS X JORDAN XIII

“Way back When I had the red and black lumberjack, with the hat to match”

As we are coming up on what would be Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious BIG aka Biggie Smalls, 45th Birthday, Jordan Brand is doing a collab with the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation. They will be teaming up with the auction house Sotheby’s to auction off 23 pairs of the Jordan XIII. The sneaker features a mostly black suede upper with a plaid pattern on the lining and the insoles. The lines “It was all a dream” & “If you don’t know now ya know” from the legendary song “Juicy”, are on patched on the inside of the tongue. There is a stitched image of Biggie on the tongues of the shoes and the aglets have the word dream on them.

The sneakers are now up live on Sotheby’s website and the auction will be up until February 3rd. All the proceeds will be going to the Christopher Wallace memorial Foundation. The foundations goal is to “empower inner-city youth with educational learning instruments, sponsorships, grants, community-based mentorship programs, and campaigns, all in line with its motto, Think B.I.G “Books Instead of Guns.”

You are going to have to have some pretty deep pockets to get your hands on these but if you got stacks, and want em bad enough, go ahead and give it a shot!

"This Air Jordan 13 has been reinterpreted to celebrate the legacy of The NOTORIOUS B.I.G., someone who reached for the stars, had the boldest of dreams, with the work ethic to back it up."

— Reggie Saunders, Vice President of Entertainment Marketing for Jordan Brand

"We are excited about this collaboration of excellence and look forward to further empowering youth in our inner-city communities with educational tools and opportunities from the proceeds of the auction."

— Wayne Barrow, Co-Chair of The Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation
