With the “Panda” colorway still all the rage, Jordan Brand is going to be releasing the Air Jordan I in a black and white colorway. I am going to call them the White Bred's and I hope it takes off. It will be an Air Jordan 1 High OG and it will be in the “Bred” color blocking. The base will be black leather and the heel, swoosh and toe box will be in a nice white leather. There really is not a way to do either the Bred color blocking or black and white wrong. I know the Panda Dunk gets a lot of hate now but it really is a clean good looking shoe. These are supposed to be dropping February 24th 2024, most likely through the SNKRS app. What are your thoughts? Does this colorway work on the shoe or do you think it's just played out now?

Spooky season is upon us and we are getting a hauntingly delicious treat with the Nike SB Dunk High Sweet Tooth. Taking inspiration from everybody's fall “favorite” Candy Corn. (just kidding, I know nobody actually likes candy corn, except for my mom) It starts out with a white toe box that fades to orange then into yellow in the heel. Color matching orange laces top the shoe off. The tongue features special Nike SB branding with a piece of candy corn in place of the letter I, while the inside of the tongue has a tooth, with some remnants of a piece of candy corn on it, and a Warning “Don’t Take Candy From Strangers”. The upper also has bite marks on the toe box. The insole has a print of candy corn all over it. All of this is set on top of a white midsole and black outsole. Early photos of the shoes show another warning label on the inside of the wings but from Nike official images I cannot tell if that made it to the retail pair.
I am not normally overly excited for halloween themed shoes. Nike has had some classics throughout the years but for the most part I have a hard time with the colorways that launch. That being said, these are a must cop for me. This reminds me of the old days of Nike SB when they had inspired shoes that weren’t actually collabs.
These are going to be releasing October 14th for $120 USD.

Back in 2014-2015 we got to see a LeBron exclusive version of the LeBron II. It was to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the model. This shoe featured both Cheetah and zebra faux fur on the upper with red highlights, a black midsole and a bone colored midsole. Well almost 9 years later we are going to get an actual release. These are scheduled to release on November 16th 2023 and retail is supposed to be $250.
I am a huge fan of the LeBron II. I am not a fan of this colorway. It is a little too much for me personally. All the animal print is hard to rock plus you would always be worried about messing up that fur. If that is your style though, more power to you. I don’t think they are a bad shoe I just don't think that I would be able to rock them. I am very surprised they are going to go ahead and release these after the abysmal response to the last 2 LeBron II retros that dropped. That was good for me because I could cop the USA pair for cheap. What do you think? Let us Know!

Love em or hate em, there doesn't seem to be any inbetween, Crocs are a hit amongst the kids (lord, I am getting old) from elementary school to college kids. Over the last 2 years it has been a cultural takeover. It’s understandable, they’re cheap and with the Crocs branded Jibbitz charms that you can use and customize the shoes/sandals (whatever you want to call them) not to mention the countless bootleg accessories you can get, like spoilers from sports cars for the back or lights you can put on the toes. Well Crocs is joining in on the exotic accessories and we are getting Cowboy Crocs! That's right, Cowboy Crocs. These “boots” are something man. To be honest I kind of like them. It's so different, it's cool. There are spurs on the heels and they come with a couple Jibbitz Honestly I don't really know how to describe these, I know not good for a blog but Let the pictures speak for themselves. These appear to be available now on Crocs.com for $120 USD.

I didn’t talk about it, I didn't write about it, I didn't want to even think about the Nike Book 1. Devan Booker’s first signature shoe is so bland and just terrible. If it was 1988 this might be an alright shoe but it's so basic and so plain, that it's just lame. Nothing proves that to me more than the fact that for the Phoenix Suns media day, Booker didn't even wear his own signature shoe. He chose to wear Chucks. Nike was going for a “Future Classic” with the Book 1, but instead it just looks lazy. While they do have a top loaded heel Zoom Air unit full length Cushlon 2.0 midsole encapsulated in a TPU midsole to hold the foam together, that isn’t enough to make up for the lack of style. It is possible that a colorway might catch my eye but the likelihood of me flipping and buying these is slim to none. The Book 1 won't be hitting shelves until spring of 2024 so maybe something will change by then but I doubt it.
What's your thoughts? Do you think these are the “Future Classic” Nike was going for? Let us know!

The Sabrina 1 has been a surprise hit from Nike especially with its addition in the Nike By You lineup. Several of the people I know in the sneaker game have ordered pairs, some of them multiple pairs, of these shoes and love them both on and off court. I am not very versed in the women's game so I will not pretend to know that I know much about Sabrina Ionescu. I do know she plays for the New York Liberty and from the highlights I have seen, that woman can ball! Her first signature with Nike has been a smash and the shoe has both aesthetic appeal along with court playability. The Sabrina 1 has a full length React foam midsole with a forefoot Zoom Air unit, keeping you low to the ground and giving you excellent court feel and has a midfoot shank for stability. The outsole has either full rubber, translucent rubber or a mix of both depending on the model you get. The traction pattern is a tight almost artsy design but is similar to a herringbone pattern and provides great traction. While the Upper is all layered textile, it provides good lockdown and breathability. All in all the Sabrina 1 is a very good ball shoe at a decent price. Retail is $130 for most models and Nike By You version is $150.
I got a lot of my information from our friends over at WearTesters, since it is not a shoe that I have played in myself.
On a personal note, I only have sons but I LOVE to see more women getting their "just desserts" and seeing the kind of boom or resurgence of women with signature shoes. I think it is something that is amazing for our young women to see and hopefully picture themselves doing one day.

For a long time I’ve said “Women and kids get the best colorways” and this just helps support that, the Air Jordan II “Chicago Twist”! These will be womens exclusive. As Jordan continues the onslaught of the AJ II, we continue to get really dope colorways and color blocking that we have not seen before. These feature a White base with red hits and a sail or as Jordan Brand is calling it “coconut Milk” outsole and midsole combo along with the rubber heel area. The heel area of the upper into the lining and tongue piping is all black. The tongue itself is white with the wings logo outlined in red.
As many know and I’ve stated before on my blog posts, the Air Jordan II low was my very first Jordan back in 2005. I have the White & Varsity Red pair. I am a sucker for the Jordan II low even though I prefer the style they used back in 2004 (Which Sean Collard, @scollard23 on instagram, would tell me I am very wrong for that). I absolutely love this pair. The twist on the colors is absolutely perfect. The only thing I don't like is the same as all my complaints with a lot of these AJ II retros, the sail or off-white or coconut milk, whatever you want to call it midsole/ outsole. What's wrong with just plain white. It is cleaner and flows better with the shoes.
Be on the lookout for these Saturday October 7th on Nike.com and select other Nike retailers. Bonus, they will come with a drawstring bag. Retail on these will be $150 but it does not look like they are doing extended sizing for these so if you have big feet you’re gonna be missing out on these, like me.

MrBeast and the Charlotte Hornets are teaming up….kind of. The Hornets Jerseys will feature a patch of the logo of the MrBeast’s brand of snacks, Feastables, along with the press conference backdrops. Feastables, is a brand of snack food brand started back in January of 2022 by MrBeast with simple ingredients and are aimed to be healthier for you. And to take it a step farther back for you who may have been living under a rock for the last handful of years, MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is not just a Youtuber, he is the most followed person on Youtube. If I am being honest, if I didn’t have kids I don’t know if I would have ever watched one of his videos. This comes as no surprise since MrBeast was the most notable of the group that bought the controlling ownership of the Hornets from Michael Jordan just a few months back, in July.

As we all know October is breast cancer awareness month. Every single one of us has been impacted by cancer in some way, be it breast cancer or some other form. (I personally miss the days when the NFL was focused solely on breast cancer for October. I miss seeing all the Pink with the team colors but I am getting side tracked) Every year we see the Kay Yow Nike’s come out and the Aunt Pearl KD’s with every new model. Well this time around PUMA is launching an all Pink shoe for the cause. LaMelo Ball is on his third signature sneaker with the brand but in an interesting move they decided to bring back the MB.01. The feature an all pink upper, with 2 shades of pink and white highlights. The tongue has the MB wings logo with a the breast cancer awareness ribbon on the top of the tongue all in a white that really pops off the pink background. As apart of the release PUMA is giving $20,000 to he Suzann G. Komen Foundation, on the leading non-profit breast cancer awareness organizations. You can cop them now at PUMA.com and retail is $135.

You know what’s made of sugar, spice and everything nice? If you guessed The Powerpuff Girls, you would be correct. Blossom! Bubbles! And Buttercup! Now you’re asking why are we here talking about The Powerpuff Girls, Biggie? Well I am glad you asked! Nike SB is collaborating with the popular 90’s Cartoon Network original show. We will be seeing 4 colorways, one for each of the girls and one for their arch enemy, the evil, Mojo Jojo. In classic Nike SB fashion all 4 pairs feature a suede upper in the color of each of the girls costumes, Red, Blue and Green and Mojo’s is in his signature purple. The swooshes are the color of each girl's hair, Blossom’s have an orange swoosh to reflect her red hair, the swoosh on Bubble’s is red, Buttercups is Black. Mojo’s have a white and purple striped swoosh. The heel tab on each shoe features the girl’s eyes embroidered along with a small smile below on the rear quarter panel of the right shoe. These are rumored to launch sometime during the holiday 2023 season through the SNKRS app and in skate shops. If you’re a 90’s baby and love Cartoon Network, these are a must cop. Which ones are you gonna go after?

Recently LeBron gave us a look at what might be the LeBron 21. In a work out with his youngest son, Bryce James, we got to see what is rumored to be the LeBron 21. Sticking with the low top design from last years 20, this pair seems to have a sail or off white patent leather upper along with metallic gold accents. There is some clear inspiration from the Kobe line in these. While we don’t know the tech specs of them it appears to have a similar setup as the 20 did. There is a possibility these are something else but this is the time of the year we typically see the next LeBron shoe leak.
To me it is a big let down. This shoe is so plain and basic. I know those are some of the reasons I like the Ja 1, but this highlights a problem that all of Nike’s basketball products have had across the board in the last few years. Bland, safe, non innovative designs seems to be what Nike is churning out. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that it seems like athletes have to wear a new and different pair everynight and the basic designs make it easier to produce more styles. I am not sure but I am disappointed.
If Nike stays on the same schedule as they have in recent years, we should be seeing these release late November to early December. There is no indicator about the price point.
Let me know what you think about these.

Karhu has launched its new trail runner, the Karhu Ikoni Trail, which feature a unique blend of style and function. The upper is made up of IdealKnit mesh, for breathability and functionality. The ascending Fulcrum provides a smooth transition and helps propel the foot forward. There is an eva toe bumper for added protection and it gives the shoe that signature trail style. That being said I am always a sucker for any Vandal release. For the first time in a while we are getting a new Vandal and it's a Stussy collab.
With what appears to be a canvas upper in “deep royal blue” upper that is almost closer to a Navy, they are sitting on a white midsole. For the first time that I can remember on a Vandal the Swooshs on each side of the shoe fully embroidered on the shoes. From the pictures we’ve seen so far the shoe will come with 2 straps, 1 set is plain black and the other set is blue and orange with the classic Stussy branding written multiple times over them. They will come with 3 sets of laces, 1 blue pair, 1 black pair and an orange pair. The tongue has the Stussy logo with an 8 ball and has the open top with the exposed foam on the inside of the tongue.
There was already a release at Stussy brick and motar stores along with Stussy.com but we will get a SNKRS app release on June 15th at 10am. The retail price will be $130.

The other day I found myself in search of some sporting apparel. I went to all the places in town that would carry that but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I noticed today that in my hometown there is nowhere to find sporting apparel or sneakers and then I realized that the places I went to growing up are all gone now. Don’t get me wrong my hometown never had any real big name places but there were a few spots to get hats, jerseys and other apparel. It's not any different than what the rest of America has been going through for the last 10-15 years, with the rise of online shopping. I know that its not just a Midwest thing, shopping malls and brick & mortar stores are struggling everywhere. It makes me sad because I always enjoyed browsing through all the stores and finding stuff and the kids these days will not be able to experience that. There has always been something way cooler about being able to hold the item in your hand and ogle over it before buying it. I know that when I go down to a big city I can still get that experience but I do just wish we had that in Marquette still. I know times change and things will never be the same but that doesn't make things any easier. All that being said go out there and search for something and I hope you actually are able to find it in person. The feeling of searching for a pair of sneakers and finally finding them and getting them is the feeling that got me hooked on this game. I guess that's where I will end my old man rant.

We got our first look at a couple of adidas signature athletes upcoming releases and they have a lot in common. We have now seen some leaked images of what is being called the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 (I hope they come up with a better name, just saying its not very catchy and I will now refer to them as the ANT 1. It’s my article and I can do what I want) and we got to see some leaked images of the adidas Harden Vol. 8. Both shoes feature a TPU upper over a mesh base. That’s a surprising turn from what we have seen in the past.
We’ll start with the ANT 1. Edwards was the first overall pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves, back in 2020 and he immediately signed with adidas. In his contract there was a stipulation that if Edwards made the All Star team he would receive his own signature shoe and in 2023 he did just that. The ANT 1 features a mesh base with a TPU overlay that rises all the way up from the sole appearing to be all one piece. There is the classic adidas athletics slanted 3 striped adorning the heel. They have a black bootie style opening for the foot. There is a clear design similarity to the adidas Fear of God shoes that will be releasing but there is no word on whether or not Jerry Lorenzo had any input on the shoes. They remind me slightly of the old AND1 Chosen 1, the shoe Ben Wallace made famous on his way to an NBA Championship, back to back Finals appearances, 6 straight Conference Finals appearances, oh and 4 Defensive Player of the Year trophies. If you can’t tell I am a lifelong Pistons fan. After that sidebar, the word is we will see the ANT 1 sometime in the fall of 2023 but no word on a price point.
Next up, The adidas Harden Vol. 8. These also feature a molded TPU overlay on top of a mesh upper. There is a clear design element that is continued from the Vol. 7. They also have that neoprene bootie style opening around the collar. From the images that we leaked they looked to have the same tooling as the previous model but no word for sure yet. I have not been a big fan of the Harden line in the past, nor am I a James Harden fan in general, but I do have to say I like these a lot. My main problem with the Vol. 7 was the puffer jacket type material that was on the upper, it looked so out of place on a basketball shoe. The TPU upper looks much better and gives an aggressive look. We don’t know where Harden is going to be playing next year but I can see that his foot game will be on point. Expect to see the Harden Vol. 8 in late 2023 possibly early 2024 and rumor is retail will be $160.
I am wondering if this is the way adidas design is going or if it's the influence of Jerry Lorenzo or it could just all be coincidence but no matter what I like the direction that adidas basketball is heading.

Travis Scott is getting another collab with Nike but I am not sure these are gonna be the hype seller that the Jordan 1’s have been. This past weekend in Miami at one of the events surrounding the F1 Grand Prix race, Travis wore the Nike Mac Attack but these had a twist. They had the classic gray and black colorway but with his signature reverse swoosh. We have already seen, in collaboration with Social Status, the Mac Attack will be returning this summer. Back in March it was revealed that the boutique was going to be launching 3 colorways of the shoe. They feature a off white upper with either white, blue or green swoosh. The Swoosh has a tear away material that reveal another color underneath. With the Green there is a yellow underneath, the white swoosh tears away to reveal a black swoosh underneath and the blue pair has a light blue Swoosh underneath.
The Travis hype is still real but I am not sure these are going to be apart if they actually release. I am not sure there is going to be a lot of love for this model in general. Nike does do a great job at selling the story and that in turn sells the shoe, so it won’t be a surprise if these do pop off and become the shoe of the summer. There is no release information for the Travis Scott Mac Attack and all we know about the Social Status collab is that they will be releasing this summer but no price has been given just yet.
What do you think? Are these gonna be really popular or are they gonna fall flat? Let us know!

The now classic and infamous color blocking works very well for the old school model. They have a white base with black overlays and a black toe piece. The Converse chevron logo and the collar are both in the classic sport blue. The Fragment lighting bolt logo is embossed on the rear quarter panel. Overall an extremely clean looking shoe and a great option considering the price point. They will be dropping on May 11th for a retail price of $140. These will be available on Converse.com.

Last month during the Women's NCAA Tournament, UCLA’s Kiki Rice debuted what was rumored to be the Air Jordan XXXVIII (I will refer to them as the “38” from now on because that's too many roman numerals to write out). Well we have now been given a more detailed look at the 38. There were some rumors that based on some of the photos taken that they might have a cross strap like the Jordan VIII but as we see that is not the case. There are some subtle influences of the VIII but it is no way overboard like some of the previous models of the Air Jordan line past the XXX. The tongue logo clearly pays homage to the logo of the AJ 8. Now I would like to see some more colorways, more pictures and some on foot pictures but I think they are a huge upgrade from the 37. It was on April 28th that 2 time NBA Champion & 13 time all star, and current Phoenix Sun, Kevin Durant, has signed a lifetime deal with Nike. This isn’t very surprising news to me, since he’s on his 16th signature model and there’s only 2 other guys to have done that before him, His Airness and LeBron James. If you look at KD’s history, his relationship with Nike goes back to at least his high school days at Montrose Christian School. He wore the Nike Air Max Enforcer & the Huarache 2K6 throughout most of his 1 and only season with the Texas Longhorns. Then in 2007 Durant was the 2nd overall pick to the Seattle SuperSonics, and he made the no brainer decision to sign with Nike. Throughout his rookie year he wore multiple Sonics themed PE’s before he got his own shoe his sophomore season. The KD 1 is always overlooked when talking about his going on 16 year old line. The following season the Sonics moved down to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder but it wasn't until Durant’s third shoe that things really started taking off for his signature line. Fast forward to today, KD is on the Suns and we are about to get his 16th signature shoe and with this lifetime deal we are bound to new KD’s for many years to come.

]]>Jordan brand has a new hybrid silhouette debuting this summer. It takes the best elements of the Air Jordan I and the Air Jordan V and fuses them together. The Jordan Stadium 90 is set to drop shortly here and it is just in time for summer. Depending on the colorway, the upper is mostly leather or suede with a mesh side panel similar to the Air Jordan V. Also influenced by the five is the shark teeth pattern on the side of the toe box and the padded collar area from the low top version of the V. The Midsole consists of the new Formula 23 foam and it has a solid rubber outsole. The heel features the Nike Air branding. So far we have seen the Stadium 90 in a grey, teal, red and pine green colorways.

]]>The Air Jordan 1 KO recently debuted in a low top version with the Union collab that launched back in February. This summer we are getting at least 2 more colorways, this time in the form of some classic AJ1 colors. The Bred and Shadow Grey colorways will be placed on the AJKO low and will be returning this summer. The AJKO has a long history within Jordan Brand.
Originally it was released back in 1986 and was meant to be a cheaper option to the Air Jordan 1. They used the tooling from the Nike Vandal and the upper was made of Canvas. It was named the Air Jordan KO but there has never been any confirmation on what the “KO” is supposed to mean. The rumor was that within Nike the “KO” stood for “Knock Off” because Nike released it as a way to combat all the brands that came out with knock off versions of the Air Jordan 1, that were all much cheaper than the real thing. Nike felt releasing a cheaper version would make more people buy Nike’s rather than the other options. Another rumor was that “KO” stood for Knock out. Nobody knows the real answer though. There was an Air Jordan II KO that made it to the sample stage but they never reached production.
After that there wasn't much heard from the AJKO until 2010 when Jordan retroed them for the first time ever. They released in the Chicago colorway and was done in a pre aged look (They were not my cup of tea and I was disappointed) Since they have released several pairs of the AJKO but not much in recent years but with the latest Union collab the AJKO has been sprung back into the spotlight. Union mixed things up though and made a low top AJKO.
Are you excited about these low top AJKO’s? Would you have preferred they just stuck with the high tops? Let us know!

Jordan Brand has been making hybrids for close to 20 years now (Damn, that makes me feel old). The first official release of a hybrid was the Dub Zero in 2005. It was meant to celebrate the first 20 years of Jordan Brand. It had a combination of the design elements of the Jordan 3,4,5,6,11,12,13 &20’s. The Dub Zero was followed by a continuous onslaught of hybrids since. From the Spizike to the Son of Mars, the AJF line to the 6Rings and everything in between, Jordan Brand has hung their hat on the hybrid model’s ever since.
The idea of the Jordan hybrid goes back a lot longer than 2005. We all know the story of what came to be known as the Air Jordan 1.5, when Nike put the midsole/outsole of the Air Jordan 2 on the Air Jordan 1 upper to test it out, but Nike used to use the midsole/outsole from the Jordan 2 on the kids version of the Air Jordan 3. There was also countless versions of Air Jordan models with different outsoles for testing but we typically did not see any release of them.
With the resurgence of the Air Jordan 2 and the hope that we would finally get a proper retro of the low top Jordan 2. Fromer Jordan brand executive, Gentry Humphrey, was seen with some interesting Air Jordan 2 with an Air Jordan 3 midsole/outsole. These have gotten some mixed reactions on the internet. They’re rumored to be releasing next year but there is no release info yet.
How do you guys feel about them? I personally like them, they actually mesh pretty well together. I guess we will have to see, as we get more information.

If you know me you know the Air Force 1 is one of my favorite models ever. When done right they are the cleanest looking silhouette out there. So you can probably imagine that I am extremely excited to see this small resurgence of the AF1 recently. With that resurgence we have gotten to see some really cool colorways come back in retro form. That paired with the crazy popularity of the “Panda'' colorway at the moment has brought an iconic and soughtafter special edition AF1 back out. This summer we will see the Terror S quad AF1 low release in a black and white colorway.
In the early to mid 00’s AF1’s were probably at the peak of their national popularity and the popular New York hip hop group, led by Fat Joe, were on top of the world for a minute. Fat Joe is a well known OG sneakerhead and got to work with Nike on his own AF1’s and had several colorways. They each had their own flavor but they all the the Terror Squad “TS” logo on the rear panel. I remember PickYourShoes.com having them on their website for sale but they were sold out.
Back in November of 2022 Fat Joe was spotted at a Knicks game with some new looking Terror Squad PE’s sparking rumors that we were going to see them return but now we have official images have now released and they are fire. They bring back the looks of the Tuxedo AF1 from 2005 with a white base and black overlays. Personally I like the shoe a lot. It is definitely a good summer shoe. I will probably go after them. If you were fortunate enough to grab the Cool Grey Jordan XI low back in 2018 so might not need these, they are very similar.
What do you all think though? Would you have preferred they were more like the renderings we initially saw? If you have the 2018 Cool Grey low, do you think these are a must cop? Let me know what you think!
Be on the lookout for these April 1st and retail will be $190

In 2000, Tom Izzo was in his 5th year as the Spartans head coach, they won both the Big Ten regular season championship and the Big 10 Tourney. As a result of their success they were the number 1 seed in the midwest region. Behind the talent and leadership of senior players like Mateen Cleaves and Mo Peterson, Junior Guard Charlie Bell and the freshman sensation, Jason Richardson, the Spartans made a historical run to earn the first national championship since the days of Magic Johnson and Greg “Special K” Kelser.
The Sparty Questions have a white base for the upper and a green toe. The vector on the side and tongue is also green. To top it all off they have an icy clear sole. You can cop them on Reebok.com for $170.
In the years since Tom Izzo has made 25 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and Sparty has become a Nike school but their days in Reebok will forever live in infamy.

Being a sneakerhead in the midwest is not easy. We have long winters and weather that plays with your heart. Just a few weeks back we had temperatures in the mid to high 40’s, the parking lots were almost completely clear and down to the bare concrete. Then a couple weeks ago we got 2 feet of snow on a Thursday, and we were back to sunshine and high 30’s by Saturday. Then come the following Monday we get slammed with another 8 inches of wet heavy snow. The rest of that week was completely clear with mid to high 30’s. Now as I’m writing this out we are supposed to get hit with another 4 inches and it's 32 degrees so it will be heavy and hard to move.
All that makes it really hard to rock sneakers. Through winter I won't wear anything that has a suede or mesh upper from the first snowfall until it all finally melts. Our first snow that actually sticks is usually mid November and we are pretty lucky if the snow melts by mid April. That eliminates a lot of my collection. I try to stick to the full leather upper, that will be easy to clean, or I will rock some boots. The way parking lots get up here with the mix of salt and sand that gets laid down to keep ice from building up and to give vehicles traction on slippery surfaces, makes it so you have to walk carefully through the parking lot, avoiding puddles and slush in order to get your milk and eggs. Especially towards the end of our winter the parking lots get a lot of slush built up and sometimes it will end up above your ankles if you are wearing a low top sneaker.
Almost every brand has their own "winterized" version of their classic models, like Jordan Brand with their winterized Retros or New Balance. There is some really good options for all weather sneakers. Clearweather Brand is a good example of a brand that makes fashionable sneakers but is still can stand up to the winters. They can be a bit pricey but they are 100% worth it.
With winters that last 5 months long it leaves a lot of time for your collection to sit and when you cop something during those winter months you have to sit around and wait to break them out and it can be tough. All 3 of my pick ups this winter are still sitting on ice waiting for the sun to come around. What I can say is, the thing that keeps me up here, in the Upper Peninsula, is the fact that you cannot beat the summers. They are short, they don’t get crazy warm but let me tell you it is absolutely beautiful. Nothing is better than sitting on my patio on a warm June night with the fire roaring in the fire pit, a cold beverage in my hand and a dope pair of kicks on my feet.

]]>We are coming fresh off of All Star Weekend and adidas revealed not only the latest Bad Bunny collab and the D.O.N. Issue #5 but we got to see the newest sneaker in the Crazy line. For those who don't know, the Crazy line was originally the Kobe line back when he was with the 3 stripes. This new sneaker is an updated or reimagined Kobe inspired model, the Crazy Illnfinity. Taking some very clear inpsiration from the unreleased Kobe III. The Kobe III was a mix of the Kobe I & II with a lace cover and not so aesthetically pleasing divots in the sneakers shell toe. These have an early 00’s feel to them right off the bat with the Kobe look along with the zippered lace cover reminiscent of the Reebok Answer IV.
Not a lot more is known about this new model and whether it is meant for the basketball court or it is just a lifestyle shoe. From the sounds of things they will be releasing this holiday season and the retail price has yet to be announced.

LeBron James is now the NBA’s all time leading scorer. Just last week LeBron surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in a loss to the Thunder. When you think about it, it's not all that surprising. LeBron is in the middle of his 20th NBA Season and has been extremely fortunate not to have had any major injuries, The 4 time NBA Champ has averaged 27.2 points in his 1,410 games played (As of 2/13/2023). There is no denying his greatness, even for as long as I had, eventually I turned around on him. I learned to just sit back and enjoy the greatness as we witness it. There is only so often we will get to see this level of greatness. I was born in 1990 so I can't really say I remember too much of Michael Jordan. In fact, my first basketball memories, I think, would be the 1998 NBA Finals. Because of that in 2013 When the Heat won their second title LeBron had done the things I had asked him to do. He had hit the shot that put them up by 4 with 27 seconds left, had a huge steal then knocked down 2 free throws to give the Heat a 6 point lead and basically ice the game. After that I decided to just sit back and watch the greatness. I am not necessarily a LeBron fan but I certainly do not have the same visceral that Skip Bayless has for him. I think if LeBron had came around another 10 years later and we had some time to forget the legacy of MJ, we would think of LeBron in a completely different light. Unfortunately that is not possible.
Now onto the shoes. For his record breaking night LeBron wore the Nike LeBron XX in a Pink and silver colorway. That has been on point for LeBron and most NBA players as of recently. The league no longer requires players' shoes to match their uniform so players have taken full advantage of that. After the game LeBron recieved a gift from NIke, who teamed up with The Shoe Surgeon. It was a special pair of LeBron XX in a white and gold colorway. They have a white croc base with a metallic gold accents and swoosh, the shadow swoosh is a marble print with hints of gold just like the top of the tongue and the eyestay. On the medial side of the shoe there is an iridescent gold swoosh. The front part of the midsole features white base with some of LeBron’s biggest career accomplishments written out in gold. The rear part of the midsole has white that slowly transitions into a gold with white splatter print and the shoe is topped off with an icey sole that reads 38,388.
Now obviously these were a 1 of 1 made only for the man himself and we will never be able to get our hands on these but they are still very nice. Just like the man himself you can just sit back and enjoy the greatness of this shoe.

The Air Jordan VI is difficult to mess up, and the Aqua VIII colorway is also hard to do wrong, so it is no surprise that it would work on the AJ VI silhouette so perfectly. The black buttery nubuck base is perfectly contrasted by the Aqua and purple accents. One of the reasons the Aqua colorway hits so hard is because it was perfectly in fashion back in 1993 when the VIII originally released. Converse had a ton of shoes with the aqua and purple colorway. Hell, all of us of that age remember the old soda cups with the aqua wave and the whole Taco Bell theme was aqua and purple.
With all that being said, these are all just mock ups and there is no guarantee that this is what the retail version will actually look like. If Jordan is smart though these come exactly like this because they are close to perfection. They are rumored to be a Holiday 2023 release.
